What’s the difference between a roof replacement and a roof restoration?
A roof replacement involved the replacement of the entirety roof, removing any old and damaged tiles or metal sheeting and replacing it with entirely new materials. A roof restoration is an alternative option to replacing your roof this involves cleaning, prepping and painting the existing roof, restoring your roof over the year has become a popular option.
For this reason, roof restoration is usually cheaper than a replacement.
How much does a full roof restoration cost?
This really depends. The size of your roof and the height of your home are key factors in determining the cost, as are any repairs your home may require before a roof restoration can go ahead.
An average-sized house could be as cheap as $2,500 for a roof restoration whereas a larger home could increase up to around $5,000.
My roof is leaking, what should I do?
If you have a very small and light dripping leak, we recommend putting something underneath to catch the drip and then giving us a call right away. We’ll ask you a few questions regarding your leak and will take your contact details to schedule you in for a free consultation with one of our experienced technicians.
If it’s quite a heavy and strong leak and you’re concerned, we do recommend calling the SES, especially in severe weather events.

Is there a way to prevent roof leaks?
We generally recommend correct roof care to prevent roof leaks. This means routinely cleaning out your gutters and downpipes to avoid clogs and have your roof inspected routinely. We find roofs usually require a repair every 10 years or so — whether a build up of debris or a faulty tile.

How often should I have my roof inspected?
The best thing you can do for your roof’s health is have it maintained regularly to prevent any issues. Inspections help ensure it’s still healthy and in good condition though. We find that every three to five years is the sweet spot. If you’re not experiencing any issues with your roof, then just getting a simple check up every three to five years works like a form of insurance. You can ensure you’re across any issues with your roof before they become larger, more significant issues.
