Frequently Asked Questions
Below are some of our most frequently asked questions and our answers.
Still have a question?
My roof is leaking, what should I do?
If you have a very small and light dripping leak, we recommend putting something underneath to catch the drip and then giving us a call right away. We’ll ask you a few questions regarding your leak and will take your contact details to schedule you in for a free consultation with one of our experienced technicians.
If it’s quite a heavy and strong leak and you’re concerned, we do recommend calling the SES, especially in severe weather events.
How do I know where the leak in my roof is coming from?
You probably won’t! Roof leaks can be quite a mystery and it’s not usually until we use a range of techniques including thermal imaging, that we detect precisely where the leak is coming from.
What types of roofs can you repair?
We can work with a broad range of residential and commercial roofs with tiles or metal — whether for a restoration, simple repair, or roof leak detection.
Is there a way to prevent roof leaks?
We generally recommend correct roof care to prevent roof leaks. This means routinely cleaning out your gutters and downpipes to avoid clogs and have your roof inspected routinely. We find roofs usually require a repair every 10 years or so — whether a build up of debris or a faulty tile.
By booking a free roof health check, you can spot any required roof repairs before they become issues.
Are you qualified and insured to work on my roof?
We certainly are! We’re QBCC-registered, each member of our team holds all relevant licenses and qualifications to work on and with your roof.
How often should I have my roof inspected?
The best thing you can do for your roof’s health is have it maintained regularly to prevent any issues. Inspections help ensure it’s still healthy and in good condition though. We find that every three to five years is the sweet spot. If you’re not experiencing any issues with your roof, then just getting a simple check up every three to five years works like a form of insurance. You can ensure you’re across any issues with your roof before they become larger, more significant issues.
